Pansy Favors

Pansy Favors, age 78, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Favors was a resident of the community for 47 years. She worked for E.R. Moore/Swingster Company in Ocean Springs for many years and was a member of T.O.P.S./MS. #19. She was also a longtime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Ocean Springs where she was active in the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Favors was well known for her cooking and quilting. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elda Ward and Alta Clark Ward. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, James E. Favors, a daughter, Joyce Favors, both of Ocean Springs, two sons, James D. (Sunday) Favors of Hawaii, and Barry (Monique) Favors of Ocean Springs, a brother, Ray Ward of Derby, Kansas, and seven grandchildren, Rosina, Thomas, Sabrina, Catarina, Jamie, Jordan and Skyler. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 26, 2006, from 5-8 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Monday, March 27, 2006, there will be an 11 a.m. service at St. Paul United Methodist Church Downtown, where friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
