Parker Herrin Burrow, 91, of Gulfport, died Friday, September 16, 2005 in Gulfport. Mr. Burrow was born in Prentiss, MS and was a resident of Gulfport since 1952. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Gulfport. He retired as a Division Manager of Catalog Sales for Sears in Gulfport. Mr. Burrow was a veteran of World War II in the Air Corps, spending 33 months in the Pacific Theatre, where he was a staff sergeant in supply. He was an avid fisherman.
Mr. Burrow was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ollie Burrow; 2 sisters, Dewyse Lee, Gladys Stamps; 3 brothers, Clyde Burrow, John Burrow and Melvin Burrow.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Doris Burrow of Gulfport; 2 daughters, Deeta Ellzey and her husband Charles of Diamondhead and Dane Hewes and her husband Charlie of Gulfport; 4 grandchildren, Tanya Rose Barrett, Derek Rose, Maridane Hewes and Parker Hewes; and 1 great grandson, Noah Barrett.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, September 19, 2005 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, where friends may visit one hour prior to service. Another service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church in Jefferson Davis County, MS. Interment will be in Tyrone Cemetery, Jefferson Davis County, MS.
