Patricia Bousqueto Johns, age 73, passed away peacefully, in her home, on Sunday, June 6th, 2010. “Pat” was born in Biloxi, MS, where she attended Our Mother of Sorrows School and Church. She graduated from Xavier Prep. Catholic School and Xavier Univ., both of New Orleans. She retired from the Department of Defense in Ft. Meade, MD.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Johns Sr. of Surry VA, her parents Fabian and Armantine Bousqueto, sisters Genevieve DeMouy and Irma DeMouy, brothers, Fabian Jr., Arthur, Vincent and Joseph Bousqueto, mother in law Josephine Johns, sister in law Mabel Spratling, and brothers in law Robert and Edward Johns.
She is survived by her three children, Anita Johns of Gulfport, MS, Beryl Johns of New Orleans, LA, Melvin Jr. (Parlee Barrow) of Gulfport, MS, her two granddaughters, Patrice Johns of Arvada CO, Taja Johns of Gulfport, MS., brother, Adrian Bousqueto, sisters-in-law Audrey Bousqueto, Cynthia Bousqueto, Ernestine Johnson, Eloise (Paul) Robinson, brother in law Eugene Spratling and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
We invite all who knew and loved Pat to celebrate her life on Saturday, June 12th, Noon to 2pm at the Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Pass Rd. in Biloxi. Fr. Satish of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church will preside. The Rosary will be said at 12:30, followed by Fellowship and a Repass.
The family wishes to thank Fr. Satish of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Odessey Hospice, Kela Douglas, Charleston Hogue, and all who cared for Pat during her lengthy illness.
