Patricia Carolyn Anderson Bozzetti

Patricia Carolyn Anderson Bozzetti passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024 at 1:30 am at the age of 77 after a year-long struggle with cancer. Carolyn was born in Gulfport, Mississippi on April 24, 1946 to Barney S. and Stina Shannon Anderson.
Carolyn grew up in Gulfport and many of her friends traveled through their school years with her from first grade until high school graduation. Carolyn was a 1964 graduate of Gulfport High School. Carolyn had many friends whom she cherished. It brought her joy to remember the activities she shared with them.
Carolyn was Mississippi’s Miss Hospitality in 1966. Miss Hospitality serves as the official goodwill ambassador for Mississippi, traveling regionally and nationally to promote the Hospitality State and to share her story.
On June 14, 1968, Carolyn married Sergio Bozzetti at the First Presbyterian Church in Gulfport.
Carolyn received a degree in elementary education from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg in August 1968. She began with student teaching in Mississippi City. She taught in several school districts including Lafayette, Louisiana, Long Beach School District in Mississippi and Klein Independent School District in Spring, Texas. She was in a classroom until she retired from teaching in Texas.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Sergio Bozzetti, her daughter, Monica Shannon Bozzetti and her parents, Barney S. and Stina Shannon Anderson. She is survived by one son, Vincent Kirk Bozzetti, and a cousin, Barbara Shannon Gillespie.
Mention must be made of the wonderful caregivers Carolyn had around the clock. Tatyana Alexander and Kenisha Covington provided the care and compassion she needed and did all they could to make her as comfortable as possible. The hospice nurse, Ashley, of Devotion Hospice, made certain that Carolyn got what was needed to get her through the last days. Thank you so much for your loving kindness and tenderness.
