Patricia Floyd "Patti" Hodges

Patricia Floyd “Patti” Hodges, age 68, of Ocean Springs passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Patti was born on April 1, 1951 at Charleston Naval Hospital in Charleston, SC. She attended Winthrop College where she received her Bachelor’s degree in 1974 and her Master’s degree in 1977 in early childhood development. Patti was a kindergarten teacher at Magnolia Park Elementary in Ocean Springs, MS, where she volunteered reading to children when she retired after 46 years of teaching. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ollie Mae Floyd. Survivors include her husband, Richard A. Hodges; children, William “Billy” Edwards and Nancy “Colleen” Davis; grandchildren, Cole Davis Edwards, Emily Elizabeth Edwards, and Macie Rae Edwards; siblings, Priscilla Wright, Dexter “Butch” Floyd, and Nancy Moore. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home.
