Patricia L. Rigney

Patricia Lynn Rigney, 41, was called to heaven on March 11, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 4, 1969 in Gulfport, Mississippi and grew up in Lyman. Patricia graduated from William Carey College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art. She resided in Waveland and was a long time employee of Hancock Bank in Bay St. Louis. As an artist, her illustrations graced the pages of many books written by local authors as well as a brass plaque on the new Bay St. Louis Bridge. She is preceded in death by her father, Herbert G Rigney. She is survived by her mother, Christine Rigney of Perkinston, brother, James Rigney (Denise) of Picayune, and sister Pamela Roll (Douglas) of Ocean Springs. She also leaves behind 3 nephews and 1 niece to cherish her memory; Matthew Rigney (Keri), Michael Rigney (Samantha and Liam); Reuben Rigney, and Haley Roll. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507 A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:00 am at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th street, Gulfport.
