Patsy Ann Capps Lidgard

Patsy Ann Capps Lidgard, 71, of Ocean Springs MS passed to her final home with God on Sept. 14, 2007. Patsy was born in Mobile County on Dec.26, 1935. She lived in Whistler Al until she met her soon to be husband, Richard(Dick) Lidgard in 1955. She then became a military wife and traveled with him and their sons to several state side locations, Japan and Germany. She then settled in her dream home in Ocean Springs in 1988 and enjoyed life with her family and friends. After retirement she and her husband enjoyed traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, Illinois, South Florida and to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, when her health permitted. She was an early member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. Patsy was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vernon O. Capps of Whistler Al. She was also predeceased by her brother, Cecil Capps and sister, Joy. She is survived by her husband, Richard(Dick) Lidgard; sons Rich(Sheryl) Lidgard of Naples FL and David(Sherry) Lidgard of Ocean Springs MS; grandsons Brian(Mandy)Lidgard, James(Dani) Lidgard of Naples FL; Matthew Francis, Sam Lidgard, and Russell Lidgard of Ocean Springs MS; brother Vernon(Jackie) Capps, Jr. of Coden AL; sisters Agnes(Leo) Strachan of Theodore AL, Elaine(Don) Wright of Magnolia Springs AL and many nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at Wesley United Methodist Church on Saturday Sept. 22, 2007. Visitation will be 11:00AM -12:00N and Celebration Service will begin at 12:00 Noon. Internment service will be at the Biloxi National Cemetery on Monday Sept. 24, 2007 at 9:00AM. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church Building Fund, 8900 Old Spanish Trail, Ocean Springs MS 39564. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
