Patsy Gavins Vierling

Patsy "Pat" G. Vierling, age 71, of Biloxi, died Monday, June 2, 2008 in Gulfport. She was a native of Gulfport and a life long resident of the Gulf Coast. She was a graduate of Gulfport High School, a homemaker and a charter member of Lizana First Baptist Church where she served as Church Treasurer for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth P. Thomas. Mrs. Vierling is survived by two daughters, Linda Pegler (George) of Biloxi and Kathy Ladner (Marty) of Saucier; two sons, Steven "Ken" (Lesa) Vierling of Pascagoula and David W. (Nancy) Vierling of Gulfport; a sister, Peggy O. King (John) of Gulfport; a brother, Tommy Oliver of Mobile, AL; a step-brother, William Thomas; step-father, Robert S. Thomas; longtime companion, Rush Dezonia; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Lizana First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
