Patsy Elaine Williams

Ms. Patsy Elaine Williams died peacefully after a long battle with cancer in her home on July 18, 2015 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi at the age of 63. Patsy was born on June 13, 1952 in Columbia MS to Mack (Pat) Patterson and Hilda Yvonne Patterson. She graduated from Eastwood High School in El Paso, Texas and attended college at The University of Southern Mississippi. Patsy had a very giving spirit, always making sure that everyone was taken care of. Patsy was very devoted to her children, always being there for them and their children. Even though she only had three children, she helped raise many of the kids in the neighborhood. She was a biological mother to three, but a mother to many others. No matter how bad things got for her she always managed to find the humor in a bad situation. “Some way, some how things will always work themselves out.” She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jennifer Kay Allen; and great-grandchild, William Henry Andrews. Patsy is survived by two sons, Aaron Jerrod Williams (Lisa) of Ocean Springs MS and Stephen Williams Jr., (Sara) of Ocean Springs MS; one daughter, Desiree Miller of Ocean Springs MS; along with 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Diana Marie Stewart (Ed) of Columbia MS; brother, Gregory Mack Patterson of Gulfport MS; and numerous nieces, nephews & extended family and friends. Visitation will be on Thursday July 23, 2015 from 10 – 11am at the Belle Fountain Baptist Church, 7900 Fountainebleau Rd. Ocean Springs. The memorial service will begin at 11am. Don’t worry she will be late. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
