Mrs. Pattie Rhea Parker, age 92, of Biloxi, MS, died Thursday April 27, 2006 in Daphne AL at a nursing home.
Mrs. Parker was a native Mississipian, born in Union County MS and resident of Biloxi until 2005. Prior to moving to Daphne, Mrs. Parker was a homemaker and an avid gardener, belonging to several clubs. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. Mrs. Parker also belonged to the La Masque carnival organization.
Mrs. Parker was preceeded in death by her parents, John Bunyon Rhea and Lillian Leota Ruff; husbands Dr. Robert Smith and James M. Parker; sister, Elsie Bell and son, Charles R. Smith.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her sisters, Billie Fodrin and Jewell Laird, previously of Biloxi MS currently residing in Centerville OH; Daughter-in-Law, Malese Smith of Biloxi; granddaughters, Stacey Smith Evans of Mobile AL and Lisa Lee of Daphne AL; grandson, Carl Smith of Ellisville MS; nieces, Wanda Kitts of Austin TX, Diane Smith of Centerville OH, and Melanie Sparks of Dayton OH as well as two great-grandchildren and six great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday May 6 from 1:00 until 2:00 with a 2:00 service, all at the First United Methodist Church in Biloxi. Burial will be in Southern Memorial Gardens in Biloxi.
The Pass Road Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers Mrs. Parker wished donations be made to a church or charity of choice.
