Paul Allen Johnson, 64, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2007. Born in Stonington, IL, he has been a resident of the Gulf Coast for the past 12 years. Mr. Johnson served in USAF during the Vietnam Era. He retired from Law Enforcement in 1995 after 22 years. Since his retirement he has worked as a Security Officer for the Trent Lott Combat Readiness Center, Air National Guard Air Base in Gulfport. A current member of American Legion Post #1992 and formerly of Post #105. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Elra Mae Goodwin Moore; brother, Raymond Johnson; half-brothers, William Moore and Gene Moore; half-sisters, Shirley Durbin and Ruth Moore; first wife, Judy Catherine Johnson; two great-granddaughters, Angela and Brooklynn. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 22 years, Nancy Jo Little Johnson of Ocean Springs; daughter, Sharon Lynn (Clay) Collins, Bates City, MO; son, Christopher Scott (Marie) Johnson, Decatur, IL; sister, Linda (James) Sarvers, Walkerton, IL; brothers, John E. (Darlene) Johnson, Decatur, IL; Randy (Nancy) Johnson, Elkhart, IN; sister-in-law, Mary Johnson, Decatur, IL; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family perfers donations to Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS), P.O. Box 3199, Camdenton, MO, 65020. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2007 from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes. Mr. Johnson will be sent to Dawson-Wikoff Funeral Home, 515 W. Wood, Decatur, IL, 62522-3111 for burial.
