Mr. Paul E. Howington, 84, of Diamondhead, MS, died Sunday, February 8, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mr. Howington was born in Rayville, LA, and had been a resident of the coast for the past 11 years. He was an avid golfer and member of the Jackson Civitan Club, owner and operator of Paul's Jewelry 32 years in Jackson, MS, and was a former Deacon of Diamondhead Baptist Church. Mr. Howington was a U. S. Army Veteran of WW II of the 88th Infantry.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Howington. Survivors include his wife, Earline Howington of Diamondhead; daughter, Deborah Howington of Biloxi; son, Jim D. Howington of Diamondhead; two grandchildren, Angel Goldberg and Brandon Howington; three great grandchildren, Josh, Heath and Gabe Goldberg; and nieces, Rheba Phillips of Huntsville, AL, and Delores Jones of New Braunfels, TX
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, in Gulfport, MS where friends may visit from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Heucks Retreat Church Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS.
