Paul Edward Osley was born March 25, 1927 in Bronx, New York to John and Christine Osley. He joined the Merchant Marines at the age of 17 and then continued his military career with 20 years in the United States Air Force. He retired as a Chief Master Seargent in 1968 and settled in Biloxi, MS where he and his wife, Johnnie resided until August 2005. After retiring from the military, Paul then retired from Ingalls Shipyard in 1985.
Paul was blessed with a large family that he enjoyed until he passed away in Biloxi, MS on September 14, 2006 after a very long illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Christine Fulton Osley and two brothers, Stephen Osley and Milan Osley.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Johnnie Gerkens Osley of Ocean Springs; three daughters, Paula Allen of Little Rock, AR, Susan Dubaz of Ocean Springs and Kai Taylor of River Ridge, LA; four sons, John Osley of Ocean Springs, Danny Osley, Steven Osley and Richard Osley all of Biloxi; nineteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2006 from 10:30 a.m. til 11:30 a.m., with a 11:30 a.m. funeral service, all at Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Ocean Springs. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Christus Victor Lutheran Church in care of the Youth Fund, 2755 Bienville Blvd, Ocean Springs, Ms, 39564
