Pauline Dimitry

Pauline G. Dimitry, 87 of D'Iberville, MS died Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Ms. Dimitry was born in New Orleans and had been a life long resident of the MS Gulf Coast. She worked for many years at the Dinner Bell Restaurant in D'Iberville and was known to everyone as Ms. Pauline. Ms. Dimitry was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and she will be sadly missed by her children and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Dimitry Sr., her son, Alexander Dimitry Jr., and grandson Michael W. Dimitry. Survivors include 1 sister, Catherine Diez of Metairie, LA, 2 sons, Joseph Dimitry and his wife Beverly of D'Iberville, Thomas Dimitry and his wife Sylvia of Stone County; 1 daughter, Debra Dimitry Thornton of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter-in-law Bobbie Jean Dimitry of Pascagoula; 11 grandchildren, Glenda Farragut, Pascagoula, Alexander Dimitry II, Wiggins, Rhonda Guzman, Arlington, TX, Joseph Dimitry Jr., Saucier, Scott Dimitry, Woolmarket, Prudence Brown, St. Martin, Sylina Parker, St. Martin. Thomas Dimitry, Vancleve, Travis Thornton and his wife Nicole, Pittsburgh, PA, Bryson Thornton, San Fransisco, CA, Dustin Thornton Pittsburgh, PA. 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. The family of Ms. Dimitry would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Hospice of Light for their understanding and caring during a very difficult time. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 5:00 pm at Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home Howard Avenue Chapel Biloxi, MS where friends may visit from 4 - 5 pm.
