Pearla Rae Layosa

Pearla Rae Layosa, now at perfect rest, left her earthly family and friends May 16, 2008. Pearla was born September 27, 1931 in Smithdale, MS and had been a resident of the Coast since 1941. She lived a full Christian life and was grateful for her many blessings. Her strength and determination will be remembered by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Ray and Ruby Rae (Gill) Nettles, her husband, Ciro (Babe) Layosa, her grandson, Timothy Daniel Jones, brothers, Alton and Lavon Nettles. Survivors include three daughters, Ruby Roselyn Jones (Randy), of Tampa, FL, Rev. Linda Katherine Giardelli (Richard), of Biloxi, Sammie Sue Layosa of Metarie, LA, one son, Martin Ray Layosa (Diane) of Norco, LA., one sister, Glenda Nettles of Ocean Springs, two brothers, Wesley Nettles of Ocean Springs and Talmadge (Pat) Nettles of Grand Bay, AL . Pearla adored her eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who loved her. A "Celebration of Life" party will be held at her home, May 24, 2008, 169 Miramar, Ave., Biloxi from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a memorial for Pearla at 2:15 p.m. Her ashes will be interred at Biloxi National Cemetery in a private burial at a later date.
