Peggy E. Markasich

Mrs. Peggy E. Markasich, 81, of Gulfport, MS, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, in Biloxi. Mrs. Markasich was a native of Amory, MS and was a former resident of Biloxi.. She resided in Gulfport for the past ten and a half years ago. She was a U. S. Army Veteran of WW II and of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Markasich was a registered artist, painting under the name of LaPointe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Markasich and her parents, John O. and Amanda Johnson. Survivors include a daughter, Amanda J. Strickland of Gulfport; a son, Stephen Ferenz of Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at 3 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
