Peggy Kennedy Sifers, age 71, of Gulfport, died Tuesday, September 15, 2009 in Gulfport. She was born in McHenry and was a resident of the Gulf Coast for most of her life. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a retired bridal consultant at Gayfer's.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her previous husband, Ralph Kennedy.
Mrs. Sifers is survived by her husband, James W. Sifers of Gulfport; a son, Mark Garriga and his wife, Stephanie of Madison; a sister, Georgia Fae Bond of Perkinston; and two grandchildren, Alexandra Garriga and Wynn Garriga.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church on Landon Road where friends may visit thirty minutes before the service. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in McHenry.
