Percy Lee Bell, Sr.

Mr. Percy Lee Bell, Sr., 59, of Biloxi died Friday, March 27, 2009. On March 27, 1950, Mr. Percy Lee Bell, Sr. was born to the late Mr. Tom and Bertha Bell in Humphreys County Mississippi. He joined the Army in 1968 at the age of 17. He served 11 years and 1 tour in Vietnam and medically retired in 1981. He met and married Mai Ngoc Nguyen in 1973 and to this union two children were born. He met and married Chuu Ngoc Duong on 2002. Mr. Percy Bell was preceded in death by four brothers, Tom Bell, Jr., Robert Bell, Sr., Charlie Bell, and Mack A. Bell, Sr. Mr. Percy Bell leaves to cherish his memories: a wife, Chuu Bell of Houston, TX; a daughter, Army SGT. Bertha Bell stationed at Peterson AFB, CO; a son, Percy (Beah) Bell, Jr. and grandson, Joshua Alexander Bell of Raleigh, NC; three brothers, Willie (Lela) Bell of Vivia, LA; Cleotha Bell, Arion (Maryland) Bell of Yazoo City, MS; two sisters, Katie Bell, LeBertha Jones of Yazoo City, MS; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Bell, Jessie Bell and Doris Bell; two aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, April 2, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes.
