Perry Lavaughn Jenkins

Mr. Perry L. Jenkins, 69, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Saturday, February 14, 2009, in Biloxi. Mr. Jenkins was born in Hattiesburg, MS and had been a resident of the coast for the past 36 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and a Baptist. He built a catfish pond in Ocean Springs and loved Go-Kart racing and RVing across the country. Mr. Jenkins was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a friend to all who knew him. Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Arizona Jenkins. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Rita Gail Jenkins; three daughters, Lisa Jenkins of D'Iberville, Christine Jenkins of Columbia, SC, and Cheryl Jenkins of Atlanta, GA; son, Bodie (Lara) Jenkins of Ocean Springs; two sisters, Gladys Bennett of Boise, ID, and Joyce Galicia of Gautier; two brothers, Robert Jenkins of Hazelhurst, MS and Richard Jenkins of Carson City, NV; and four grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Monday, February 16, 2009, at 7 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs where friends may visit from 5 pm until service time.
