PFC Johnny Ray Kelly, Sr (Retired), born August 11, 1945, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
Johnny retired honorably from the United States Army where he served for 20 years. He later became a truck driver. Other than his time in the Army he was a life-long resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He is a life member of VFW Post 6731 in D’Iberville, MS where he served on the post Honor Guard.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Linda Kelly, his son Robert (Robbie) Kelly, his father, Raymond Kelly, I and his mother Vivian Dunham Jernigan.
He is survived by a son, Jon Kelly and wife Tammy of Columbia, TN, their children, Ryan, Zackery and Mirriah; a daughter Angela Perkins, of Gulfport, MS, and her four children, one stepdaughter Betty (BJ) Shaw as well as Robbie’s 3 children, Jason, Joshua and Steven.
Johnny is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren. Five brothers: Milton Kelly, Steven Kelly (Myrtle), Raymond Kelly, II (Donna), Andrew Kelly (Terena) and Clayton Kelly (Nicki).
Five sisters: Sharlan Linton (Sonny), Deborah Ketzel, Patricia Smith, Sheryl Schoendrorf, and Yvonne Foster (Pat) as well as a host of nephews, nieces and other loved ones and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 10:00 am. Friends may visit from 9:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
