Mr. Philip Brody, age 73, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, March 31, 2008. Mr. Brody was a native of Brooklyn, NY and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1967. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force, serving during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. He retired from Keesler AFB in 1973. Mr. Brody continued to serve his country within the Federal Civil Service, retiring in 1988. He was a highly regarded Master Instructor and Training Manager in the personnel career field. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Mae Tripp; daughter, Debbie Smith; granddaughter, Aryka Brody; and brothers, Dave Brody and George Gordon. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Brody; children, Philip (Mike) and Carol Brody, Kelly and Barbara Brody, Jodie Johnson, Daniel Brody, Michelle and Jason Harrell, Neil and Charmain Brody, and Karen Brody; brother, Mike Brody and family; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Bruno Cantu, Mikaela Cantu, Erin Harrell, Jeni Smith, Jaimie Johnson, Joey Johnson, Alle Necaise, Kodie Necaise, Myah Brody, Leah Brody, Caylah Brody, Nicholas Ellzey, Philip Tyler Brody, Grant Ellzey, Cassie Clingan, Gabriel Ellzey, Jeremy Ellzey, Christie Ellzey, Bailey Ellzey, Tiffany Kester and Morgan Kester. Visitation will be on Friday, April 4, 2008 from 11 am - 12 pm with a 12 pm chapel service, all at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
