Phillip Barrett, 55, of Saucier died Monday, September 4, 2006 in Gulfport. Mr. Barrett has been a resident of the coast for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Wiggins. He was employed with the Public Works Department on the Gulfport Seabee base. His hobby was building remote controlled planes and rebuilding classic cars.
Mr. Barrett was preceded in death by his father Junior Barrett; mother Mildred Barrett Nelson; and step-father Clarence Nelson.
He is survived by his wife Annette Barrett of Saucier; 3 sons Shelby Barrett and Easton Barrett of Saucier and Scotty Barrett of Foley, AL; 2 step-sisters Linda Estes of Woolmarket and Janice Joy of Biloxi; and step-brother C.J. Nelson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 6, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on O'Neal Road in Gulfport. There will be a 7 p.m. rosary. The funeral service will be Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on O'Neal Road in Gulfport. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Wiggins.
