Phyllis Ann Foreman Bosarge

Phyllis Foreman Bosarge, age 72, was called by her Lord and Savior on March 23, 2012. Phyllis was a devoted wife to her husband of 52 years, Larry Bosarge, and a perfect mother to her four children, Charles E. Bosarge and wife Colleen, Lisa A. Hendon and husband Read, Stacey M. Landry and husband Clement, and Kevin W. Bosarge and wife Rachel. Her eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, to whom she dedicated much of her life, will dearly miss their loving and caring Maw Maw. Phyllis will be remembered by all who knew her for her ever-present smile, genuine kindness, and unselfish devotion to family and friends. Born to Sidney and Lucille Foreman in 1939 in Biloxi, Mississippi, Mrs. Bosarge was a life-long resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where she assisted with her family’s seafood operations early in life and later worked at WLOX and in the Biloxi school system. As a Biloxi resident, she was a faithful member of St. Louis and St. Michael’s Catholic Church until moving to Ocean Springs, where she joined the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church family. Mrs. Bosarge is preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law Irma Johnson, and her brother James (Jimbo) Foreman. In addition to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild, she is survived by four brothers, Sidney Foreman, Jr., Richard Foreman and wife Sylvia, Kenneth Foreman and wife Patsy, and Billy Foreman and wife Karen, and three sisters, Sylvia Smith, Fran Weems, and Mary Skaar. Visitation will be on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church. Friends may visit one hour before Mass. Burial will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
