Phyllis Hunter

Phyllis Hunter, 84, of Long Beach, died Tuesday, February 15, 2005 in Pass Christian. Mrs. Hunter was born in Lincoln, NE and lived most of her life in the Detroit, MI area. She had been a resident of the Coast since 1996. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Long Beach. Mrs. Hunter retired as co-owner of Hunter Pharmacy in Harper Woods, MI. Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd J. Hunter and daughter Jan Hunter-Swan. Survivors include her son John Hunter and his wife, Rev. Barbara J. Hunter of Long Beach, 5 grandchildren Steven Swan of Detroit, MI, Christopher Hunter of Washington, DC, Priscilla Geerdes of Roberts, IL, Susan Swan of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Paul Swan of Houston, TX, and 1 great-granddaughter Lily Geerdes of Roberts, IL A memorial service will be 11 AM, Saturday, February 19, 2005 at Grace Lutheran Church in Long Beach, where friends may visit from 10:30-11 AM. The family prefers memorials be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 19221 Pineville Road, Long Beach, 39560. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street in Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
