Qualan Alexander Evans

Qualan Alexander Evans, age 13, was born September 1, 1994 in Gulfport, MS to Lance Leo Evans, Sr. and Patsy Ann Evans. He died June 14, 2008 in Nashville, TN. He was born a triplet. More than the womb, they shared everything. He began his school years at Lyman and Orange Grove Elementary. Qualan attended North Gulfport 7th and 8th grade where he excelled in art. His favorite hobby was to play video games. Qualan attended the Lyman Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was studying the Bible and loved Jehovah. Qualan is survived by his parents, Lance and Patsy; five brothers, Lance Leo Evans, Jr. (Shaun), of Clarksville, TN, Julius Earl Evans (Vanessa), Justin Patrick Evans (Whitney), Quace Alexander Evans, and Quint Alexander Evans, all of Gulfport; two sisters, Chereen Ya'Lonica Evans, and Ariel Sa'Von Evans, both of Gulfport; paternal grandmother, Irene Evans of Atoka, TN, maternal grandmother, Betty Carr of Gulfport; step-grandmother, Betty Brimmage Carr; nine aunts, Ann Randolph of Flint, MI, Karen Evans, Gwen Evans, Betty Evans, and Deena Evans, all of Fort Worth, TX, Jennifer Patton, Jacqueline Williams (Kirby), and Margie Evans all of Gulfport, Debra Carr (daughter Donae) of Houston, TX; five uncles, Benny Ray Evans (Roberta) of Atoka, TN, James Evans (Mickey), Thomas Evans of Gulfport, Jeffrey Carr (Patricia) and Dwight Carr of Gulfport; eight nephews, De'Ron, De'Shon, Xavier E., Dillon, Denzel, Jayden, Johnny-Xavier, and James; four nieces, Deja', Taylor, Dayshia, and Julie; and a host of cousins, friends, and relatives. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Arthur Junior Carr. The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport where friends may visit from 12 noon until the service.
