R. Wayne Taranto

R. Wayne Taranto, age 64, passed away with his loving family and friends by his side. Wayne was born in Biloxi. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1967 and studied at University of Southern Mississippi. Wayne had a large and loving family with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be missed by all who knew him. Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Thomas E. Taranto; mother, Lora T. Johnson; brother, Michael E. Taranto; step-father, Roger Johnson; and the mother of his children, Dianne Taranto. Survivors include his two daughters, Christina Taranto Kostelak (Shawn) and Natalie Taranto (Aaron Stagl); two grandchildren, Cameron Leigh Kostelak and Jacob Shawn Kostelak, who in his own words were the “air that he breathed”; sister, Linda Toche (Larry) Feister; extended family, Gregory, Debbie and Breanna Feister; Jennifer Feister Ludwig; and Jon, Caitlyn and Nathan Ludwig. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy, P.O. Box 1288, Biloxi, MS 39533. A private service will be held for the family. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
