Mr. Ralph "Country" Mattina, 82, of Biloxi, MS died Saturday, January 28, 2006 in Houston, TX. He was a lifelong resident of Biloxi and a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Navy.
Country was a well known mixologist for many different lounges, nightclubs and hotels. He worked at The Fiesta at the Fiesta, Top of the Sheraton Supper Club, Royal D'Iberville Hotel and the Broadwater Hotel. He also was a musician, carpenter and a barber.
He is survived by a sister: Shirley Rose Joullian of Biloxi a brother Royce Mattina of Gulfport MS and a host of relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2006, at 1 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
