Ralph W. Shaw

Ralph W. Shaw, age 86, of Gulfport, died Monday, August 1, 2011 in Gulfport. He was born in Kewanee, Ms and had been a resident of Gulfport for 58 years. He was a retired electrical engineer with Mississippi Power Company and was a graduate of Mississippi State University.He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Gulfport. He was a member of Gulfport Civitan Club and a former member of Gulfport Youn Men's Business Club. He is survived by his wife, Cile Shaw ; a daughter, Susan Shaw (Doug) Sholes; son, R. Scott Shaw all of Gulfport; four grandchildren, Lindy Sholes (David) Loflin, Tyler Scott (Mary) Sholes, Emily Joy Sholes, Melina Cecile Shaw; and a great-granddaughter, Daelynn Grace Loflin. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
