Randall “Randy” Anthony Dobson, age 63, of D’Iberville, MS, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Randy was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, whose warm heart and adventurous spirit touched many lives.
A lifelong resident of D’Iberville, Randy graduated from D’Iberville High School in the Class of 1981. Shortly after, he proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1983 to 1986. His sense of duty and service was a testament to his character and dedication.
Randy spent many years as a truck driver, a profession that allowed him to explore the vast landscapes of the United States. His love for the open road was matched only by his passion for Alabama Crimson Tide football. Saturdays were a sacred time, filled with excitement and camaraderie as he cheered on his favorite team.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Marlene Dobson. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Tanya Dobson (Daniel) Clark, and his beloved grandsons, Kane, Hunter, and Eli Clark, who were the light of his life. His memory will also be lovingly carried on by his siblings: Dennis (Lisa) Dobson, Kathy (Larry) Walters, Mike (Cindy) Dobson, Sarah (Robert) Olier, Tammy (Tony) Harris, and Molly “Peanut” (John) Brand. Randy was a treasured uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart. In addition, Randy leaves behind his lifelong best friend, Wayne Jones.
Randy’s journey was one of love, loyalty, and laughter. His legacy of kindness, resilience, and a zest for life will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
A graveside service will be held starting at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 located at the Biloxi National Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who left an indelible mark on all of us.
