Raul R. Rivera

Mr. Raul R. Rivera, 82, of Biloxi, MS passed away Thursday, October 15th at 9:33pm. A native of Puerto Rico, he was born on May 5, 1933 and eventually moved to the United States. He served for 23 years in the U.S. Air Force where he traveled the world before eventually settling with his family to the MS Gulf Coast and retiring at the rank of Technical Sergeant. Mr. Rivera also retired from the Ingalls shipyard after 23 years where he worked as an electrician supervisor. He loved to fish and could be found most days either working around the yard or taking care of his pond. Mr. Rivera is preceded in his death by his parents, William & Tomasa Rivera, sisters Violet & Aurea, and a brother, William Jr. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jeanine, youngest brother Joseph, daughter Paula, sons Guy & Michel, 2 granddaughters, a grandson, and a great-grandson. The Rivera family has chosen to hold a private ceremony and thank you for your thoughts and prayers during our time of grieving. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
