Ray Viator, 69, of Biloxi died Saturday, August 20, 2005 in Biloxi, MS. Mr. Viator was a charter member of the D'Iberville Moose Lodge and the Fleur De Lise Society. He was a member of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Dart Association and the American Dart Association and was a champion dart thrower. He loved boxing and was a Golden Glove Champion boxer of five states. He raised chickens and other animals and had a beloved palomino horse named "Sundown". He was a great dancer and loved socializing with his friends. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Viator was preceded in death by his parents, Sophie David and Albert Viator; a daughter, Starlet Rachele Viator and his sister, Norma Lee Viator. Mr. Viator is survived by his daughters, Pamela June Mooney and husband Jeramy of Collinsville, MS, Gina Leigh Whatley and husband Jamie of Collinsville, MS; step-daughter, Gina Marie Sotak and husband Gary of Bay St. Louis, MS; step-sons, David Joseph Comeaux of Biloxi, MS and Ferris DeRoun and wife Tammy of Brokenarrow, OK; step-mother, Ruby Lucille Viator of Knoxville, TN; 12 grandchildren, Joshua D. Riemer, Justin D. Riemer, Hannah Rachelle Whatley, George Wayne Seymour, Gerald Bang, David Ryan Comeaux, Hunter Comeaux, Shane Gordon Sherman and wife Jenna, Travis Gordon Sherman, Jamie Marie Sherman, Kara Sotak and Garrett Sotak; two great-grandchildren, Mykenize Irene Sherman and Sadie Seymour; four sisters, Denise Viator of Knoxville, TN, Karen Slate of Clarksdale, TN, Diane Brown of Lincoln, NE and Pam Strang of Knoxville, TN. Services will be Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at 12 noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church where friends may visit from 10:30am until service time. Burial to follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
