Raymond Howell Lyons, Sr.

Raymond Howell Lyons, Sr., 79, of Biloxi, MS died on Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Mr. Lyons was retired USAF and civil service fireman at Keesler AFB. He was a member of the Internationl Firefighters Union. Mr. Lyons loved to fish, travel and most of all he loved his family dearly. The family would like to thank the nurses at Memorial Hospital, 5th floor ICU and Odyssey Hospice. Mr. Lyons is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mamie Lyons; son, David Lyons; grandson, Raymond H. Lyons, III; brothers, Harry T., Jr. and George Lyons. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jackie Lyons; daughters, Brenda (Dean) Porter of Diamondhead, Gail (Larry) Evans of Woolmarket, Sandra (Jeff) Hebert of Pass Christian, Denise (Emmitt) Osborn of Greenwood; sons, Raymond H. (Juana) Lyons, Jr. of Gulfport and Richard A. (Kim) Lyons of Oviedo, FL; sister, Louise Blanton of Gulfport; grandchildren, Kelly, Kim, Kerry, Dan, Jackie, Lindsay, Peyton and Olivia and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
