Raymond Joseph Cox

Mr. Raymond Joseph Cox, 63, of Biloxi, MS, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010, in Biloxi. Raymond was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and the University of Southern Mississippi with a Master's Degree in Education. Raymond was a retired elementary school teacher, having taught for over 30 years with the Biloxi Public School System. After retiring he designed costumes for many Mardi Gras crews along the coast. In the last few years he operated Cox's Corner at Frasier's Nursery. He loved helping people by making their lives happier through the design of peaceful water gardens. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Emelda Cox. He is survived by one sister, Melann (Pat) Machado; brothers, Frank (Walley) Cox and John Cox; many nieces and nephews, Candice Wheeler, Holly Cox, Frank, Juan, and Michael Cox and David Machado; and many great nieces and nephews. A memorial service is 11 a.m. Monday, February 15, 2010, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, in Biloxi, where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
