Raymond Joseph Parker, Jr.

Mr. Raymond Joseph Parker, Jr. "Dago", 68, of D'Iberville, MS, died Friday, February 26, 2010, in Biloxi. Mr. Parker was born in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident of the coast. He worked as a fisherman all his life. He was also a carpenter and welder. He served his country in the U. S. Navy from 1961 to 1963 and was honorably discharged. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 6731 in D'Iberville. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents, George, Sr. and Josephine Cannette. He is survived by his sons, Raymond Lee Parker of St. Martin, Billy Joe Parker of Ocean Springs, George Henry Parker of D'Iberville, Dalton Richard Parker of Biloxi, and Raymond Joseph Parker, III of Ocean Springs; sisters, Mary Ladnier and Lucy Heise both of Ocean Springs; brother, George Cannette, Jr. of D'Iberville; thirteen grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Swetman Cemetery.
