Raymond "Ray" Lee Evans, III

Raymond "Ray" Lee Evans, III, 70, of Long Beach, MS passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 in Biloxi.

Ray was born in Columbus, GA on March 4, 1953 to Raymond Lee Evans, Jr. and Earline Vance Casselberry Evans. He was a member of the Phi Lamba Epsilon Fraternity. Ray served in the U.S. Army and was employed offshore as an engineer and navigator. He enjoyed traveling, Mardi Gras and beach days in Brazil.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Karen Evans.

Ray’s survivors include his wife, Maria Libia Evans; his children, JoAnn Teixeira Evans and Jennifer Lea Rutherford; and his grandchildren, Kinslee Marie Rutherford, Taylor Ann Rutherford and Chad Rutherford.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Biloxi VA for the care given to Ray and to friends and family for their kind words.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 4:00 pm. Friends may visit from 3:00 pm until service time.
