Rebecca Tedford Miller

REBECCA (BECKY) TEDFORD MILLER, 79, of Greer, South Carolina, died Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in Greer, South Carolina. Ms. Miller was a Mississippi Coast resident for 46 years before moving to South Carolina. She graduated from Gulfport High School in 1959 and from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1981. She was a certified public accountant and retired as an accountant with Mississippi Power Company. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Gulfport. Ms. Miller was a former member of the board of advisors to the Toy Library Center and had served in various capacities with the United Way of South Mississippi and the de l’Epee Deaf Center. She was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Gulf Coast Chapter of CPA’s, and the Gulf Coast Power Outages Chapter of Mississippi Power Company, and formerly served as secretary of that chapter. Ms. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent M. (Ted) Tedford and Camilla Johnson Tedford, her sister, Camilla Coolidge and her in-laws, Rev. Wilson T. Miller and Syble D. Miller. Survivors include a son and his wife, Wilson T. (Todd) and Dianna Miller of Long Beach, a daughter and her husband, Lynn and Steve Cloy of Greer, South Carolina, six grandchildren: Nancy Miller, Thad Miller, Michael Miller, Daniel Cloy and Heather, Kathryn Kevelin and Cody, and Andrew Cloy, two great grandchildren: Keira Williams and Kohen Kevelin, and her brother-in-law, Hank Coolidge of Saucier. A family graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. The family prefers memorials to the Mississippi Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, or one’s favorite church or charity.
