Mrs. Regina Mary "Granny" Disbury, age 93, of Ocean Springs, MS, died peacefully on Thursday, September 28, 2006 in Ocean Springs.
Granny was born on January 4, 1913 in the Bronx, NY. She became a resident of the Coast 15 years ago living with her daughter, Linda Driver-Rich. Granny was a member of Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs.
Throughout her life, Granny was well-respected and admired for her simple elegance and grace. She brought joy to all who knew her and will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor, the twinkle in her eye, and the compassion in her heart. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Granny was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Disbury; her brothers; Edward, Willy, and Kenneth Scheuing and her sister, Mary Bohenek.
Survivors include her children; Rosemary Humberson, James Disbury, Diane Moyse, Daniel Disbury, Linda Driver-Rich, and Lee Disbury. She was also blessed with 15 grandchildren, many great- grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Homes. There will be an 11:00 a.m. Mass on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 where friends may visit one hour prior to service at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs.
