Reid Michelle Owen was born at 4:58 P.M. on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. She died several minutes later in her mother's arms. Reid was preceded in death by Joy Michelle Henry and leaves behind her two big sisters, Haley and Grace and her parents Chase and Emily. While Reid's life outside her mother's womb was brief by earthly standards, we know with confidence we will be reunited with her in heaven to worship our God for eternity and that this separation is merely temporary, her life has already impacted so many and will continue to leave its mark on the lives of all who loved her. God knit our daughter Reid perfectly together as He intended and she was fearfully and wonderfully made. While a diagnosis of anencephaly brings so many questions, we trust in God's promise that “we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.” And it is the glorification that we wait for, to be united with our daughter Reid. As we wait, we thank you for your continued prayers and support.
Reid is loved by such a large family, who we are so grateful for. Grandparents: Cynthia Rust, Pam and Scott Lowery, Richard and Jennie Owen, Allen and Patti Bishop. It has been our prayer since finding out Reid had anencephaly that God would glorify Himself in both her life and death. We plead with you to please not send any flowers or gifts to our family.
