Ret. CMSgt Ronald Stanley

Retired CMSgt Ronald Stanley, age 80, of Pass Christian, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

Ronald was born December 9, 1942 in Tifton, GA. He graduated from Bremen High School in Bremen, GA. Ronald served in the U.S. Air Force where he received several awards including the Meritorious Service Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters. He also served as PME instructor at USAF First Sergeant Academy, where he is responsible for the academic content of the academy curriculum. Ronald served 26 years active duty in the USAF which included one tour in the Vietnam War. His hobbies included gardening and tinkering in his workshop.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Shelton Stanley and Dorothy Lorene Watson Stanley; siblings, Gloria Jean Couch and Vicki Lorene Stanley; and belated dog and loving companion for 13 years, Sugar.

Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years, Polly F. Stanley; children, Ronald Mark Stanley (Tammy E.) and Sandi Stanley Jenkins (Perry); grandchildren, Jamie Pope, Chad Jenkins, Ashley Bell, Mandi Roberts, Randi Jenkins, Bret Stanley, and Boomer Stanley; great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Taylor Bell, Saylor Roberts, and Mason and Elliott Pope; and his faithful dog, Libby.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that donations be made to the charity of your choice.

A graveside service with USAF military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15^th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Stanley family.
