Rev. Robert M. Carlisle

Rev. Robert M. Carlisle, 83, of Biloxi, MS died on Monday, October 17, 2011. Rev. Carlisle was a native of Henderson, LA and a resident of the MS Gulf Coast since 1960. He was a veteran serving in the US Marine Corp. He graduated from East Texas Baptist Theological Seminary with a Doctrine of Divinity Degree. Rev. Carlisle was the former Pastor of Big Ridge Baptist Church, Popps Ferry Baptist Church and Crossroads Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Emma Tombs Carlisle; wife, Joyce Leach Carlisle; brother, Charles Carlisle. Rev. Carlisle is survived by his daughter, Gail Lamey and husband, Royce; son, Robert G. Carlisle and wife, Pamela; sisters, Wilma Lois Whitaker, Muriel Carnaham, Mabel Traw, Jolly Britt; brother, Pete (Barbara) Carlisle; grandchildren, Jacob (Heather) Carlisle, Justin Carlisle, Stephen DeBerry, Justin (Meaghan) Lamey and great-granddaughter, Isabella Rose Garrett. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 20, 2011at 11:00 a.m. at the Big Ridge Baptist Church. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
