Richard A. Davis

Richard A. Davis, 80, of Ocean Springs, MS died on Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Mr. Davis was born March 14, 1930 to Mildred Ferguson and Robert Davis of Newark, Delaware. He joined the USMC and was discharged a corporal. A graduate of Duke University, studied in the Museum of Art in Philadelphia, PA. He worked for G. E. in Syracuse, NY, MS Test Facility, Bay St. Louis and as an auditor at Ingalls Shipbuilding. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Brandon and Thomas "Ted" Davis. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ann J. Davis of Ocean Springs; daughters, Cynthia Davis, Dallas, TX, Brenda Davis Smith, Charlotte, NC; two granddaughters, Stacy and Ashley Joseph. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Ave., Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
