Richard Anthony Palazzo, 52, of Gulfport, died Friday, April 22, 2005 in Gulfport after a long illness. He was born in Gulfport and was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. Mr. Palazzo was a well known bartender at the Broadwater Marina. He was married for 23 years and was the father of a beautiful daughter. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Switzer Sallis; and father, Joseph E. Palazzo.
He is survived by his wife, Nona Palazzo; a daughter, Brandi Nicole Palazzo; two sisters, Sharon Palazzo Geil and Patricia L. Kirkpatrick; his step-father, Ralph "Country" Mattina; two aunts, Joyce Switzer File and Gloria Palazzo Jones; two nieces, Danielle Kirkpatrick and Angela Estes; two nephews, Lance Geil and Don Geil, Jr.; four great-nieces, Chelsea, Mackenize , Hayley , and Adyson; four great-nephews, Thomas, Gunner, Cole, and Lane.
The funeral service will be Wednesday evening, April 27, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until the service.
