Richard Deane Cooper, Sr.

Mr. Richard Deane Cooper, Sr., 76, of D'Iberville, MS, died Saturday, November 20, 2010, in Biloxi. Mr. Cooper was born in Fort Benning, GA and had been a longtime resident of the Gulf Coast. He was a retired electrical engineer from Ingall's Shipbuilding and a member of Gautier Men's Club. He was a Catholic. He was preceded in death by his parents, James L. and Mattie M. Cooper, and step-mother, Mildred H. Cooper. Survivors include his former wife, Cathy Jean Fournier Cooper; three sons, Richard Deane Cooper, Jr., Steven Douglas Cooper and Darren Keith Cooper all of D'Iberville; his sister, Jackie (Wayne) Wheeler of Winterhaven, FL; two brothers, Wayne (Caroline) Cooper of Warner Robbins, GA, and Jimmy (Linda) Cooper of Macon, GA, and four grandchildren. Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2010, at Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
