Mr. Richard Deane Cooper, Sr., 76, of D'Iberville, MS, died Saturday, November 20, 2010, in Biloxi.
Mr. Cooper was born in Fort Benning, GA and had been a longtime resident of the Gulf Coast. He was a retired electrical engineer from Ingall's Shipbuilding and a member of Gautier Men's Club. He was a Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James L. and Mattie M. Cooper, and step-mother, Mildred H. Cooper. Survivors include his former wife, Cathy Jean Fournier Cooper; three sons, Richard Deane Cooper, Jr., Steven Douglas Cooper and Darren Keith Cooper all of D'Iberville; his sister, Jackie (Wayne) Wheeler of Winterhaven, FL; two brothers, Wayne (Caroline) Cooper of Warner Robbins, GA, and Jimmy (Linda) Cooper of Macon, GA, and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2010, at Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
