Mr. Richard "Dickie" Rogers, Sr., 54, of Ocean Springs, MS died Monday, May 16, 2005, in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Rogers was a native of Biloxi and a lifelong resident of the coast. He was a carpenter and of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ward Rogers, Sr. Survivors include his wife, Sherald Rogers; a daughter, Tia Rogers of Woolmaket; twostep daughters, Angela Woods of Vancleave and Mary Hebert of Jonesville, LA; two sons, Richard Rogers, Jr. and Hershel Waldrop both of Ocean Springs; three stepsons, David Woods of St. Martin; Michael Woods of Chicago, IL and Marshall Woods of Jonesville, LA; his mother, Louise Rogers Elder of Woolmarket; three sisters, Dale Toche of Biloxi; Elizabeth Merrill of Woolmarket and Kimberly Simmons of D'Iberville; four brothers, Ward Rogers, Jr. and Dwaine Rogers both of McHenry; Bryan Rogers of St. Martin and Dana Rogers of Ocean Springs and sixteen grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 19, 2005 at 1 p. m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery
