Mr. Richard K. Johnson, 52 passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at the Biloxi Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Richard was born on January 9, 1955 in Mannheim, Germany and is 1973 graduate from North Hardin High School in Radcliff, Kentucky where he excelled at one of his favorite pastimes, baseball. Never one to meet a stranger, he always met a new face with a smile. He had been a resident of Biloxi the past 5 years. Richard is survived by his two children, his daughter Charity Johnson of Austin, Texas, and his son Marc Johnson and grandson Avery, both of Palo Alto, California. He is also survived by his father and mother, Charles and Lilo Johnson of Port Richey, Florida, his sister and her husband, Diana and Larry Penix of Virginia Beach, Virginia, their two daughters, Nadine Gilkes and Natalie Jones, both of Virginia Beach, Virginia and his brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Ami Johnson of St. Amant, Louisiana. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family at the Loaves and Fishes Community Kitchen in Biloxi, Mississippi where he worked as a cook and kitchen manager. Memorial service will be held in his honor at the Loaves and Fishes Community Kitchen in Biloxi on Friday, April 27 at 1:30 PM. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi was in charge of arrangements.
