Richard N. "Dickie" Bedard,74, of Gulfport,MS died Thursday, January 3, 2008 in Gulfport, MS. He was born in Berlin, NH and was a resident of Novato, CA for over 25 years and Topeka, KS for over 25 years. He served in the United States Airforce during the Korean War. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport, and a former member of Our Lady of Loretta Catholic Church in Novato, CA. He was employed as a Psyche Aide Supervisor for K.N.I. in Topeka, KS for over 25 years and Manager of the George St. Apartments in Novato, CA for over 20 years. Mr. Bedard was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Jean Jones, parents, Henry and Antoinette Bedard, and a brother, David H. Bedard. He is survived by his daughter, Sheila K. Taylor of Gulfport, MS two sons, Robert L. Bedard of Gulfport, MS and Richard M. Bedard of Topeka, KS, step-daughter, Cynthia Escalante of Topeka, KS, three step-sons, Fred Jones, Allen Jones both of Topeka, KS, Steve Jones of Kansas City, MO, two brothers, Roger H. Bedard(Lucille) of Littleton, NH, Donald E. Bedard(Lorraine) of Rutland, VT, sister, Joyce M. Pelchat(George) of Berlin, NH, two granddaughters, Rory M. Luther(Dylan) of Hattiesburg, MS, Rene D. Taylor of Gulfport, MS two great-granddaughters, Haley C. Luther and Victoria M. Luther both of Hattiesburg, MS and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends and neighbors at the George St. Complex.
