Richard "Rick" McCutchon Cromwell

Richard “Rick” McCutchon Cromwell, 70, of Pass Christian, MS passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in Gulfport. Rick was born July 30, 1946 in New Orleans, LA to Richard P. Cromwell and Edith “Peggy” M. Cromwell. Rick was a graduate of Jesuit High School in New Orleans and earned his Bachelors of Science in mechanical engineering from Auburn University. After college, Rick joined the Navy and earned the rank of Lieutenant before his honorable discharge. After the Navy, Rick began working for Cajun Electric in New Roads, LA. Rick retired from Mississippi Power after a 20+ year career. Rick was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Pass Christian Yacht Club and the Pass Christian Isles Golf Club. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn A. (Mac) Cromwell; and his father, Richard P. Cromwell Rick’s survivors include his children, Michael A. (Mary Ann) Cromwell and Cathy (Jason) Pott; his grandchildren, Clare, Laura, Andrew and Cooper; his mother, Peggy Cromwell; his siblings, Lynne Bohn, Elizabeth (Beth) Daniels, and Bryan Cromwell; numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving companion, Betty (Roy) May. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to the Holy Family Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Pass Christian at 12pm. Friends may visit from 11-12pm at the church. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery, Pass Christian. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street in Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
