Richard "Rick" Earl Googe

Richard “Rick” Earl Googe, 61, of Gulfport, MS died October 28, 2011 in Gulfport. Rick was a longtime resident of the coast and was a USMC veteran serving four tours in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Googe, Sr.; and sister, Patricia Ann McGuire. Survivors include his mother, Dora Manning Mitchell and step-father, Curt Mitchell of Live Oak, FL; daughter, Doreena Jackson of Atlanta, GA; son, Richard Googe, Jr. of Stockbridge, GA; sister, Pamela Schiefer of Lake City, FL; and brother, Rev. Henry “Hank” Googe, Jr. There will be a graveside service held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport, MS. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O’Keefe is in charge of arrangements.
