Rita Louise Andrews, 87, of Gautier, MS, died on Monday, November 23, 2009. Mrs. Andrews was a native of Biloxi and resident of Gautier for the past 63 years. An active partner with her husband, they established, owned and operated Mary Walker Marina in Gautier for over 50 years. She was a loving wife, mother, homemaker, business woman and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Gautier. She was a nurturing aunt to her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Among her many enjoyments were collecting fine procelain sea shells, day trips to Mobile and New Orleans, dining out and frequenting casinos. She was well known for her cooking, especially her gumbo. Mrs. Andrews is preceded in death by her parents, Frank M. and Hilda Mae Ward Wentzell; brother, Frank C. Wentzell. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Wallace H. Andrews, Sr. of Gautier; son, Wallace H. Andrews, Jr. of Alexandria, VA; two sisters, Helen Dubaz and Margaret Scott both of Biloxi; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and her longtime, loyal employee affectionately known as, "Little Boy". A Mass of Christian burial will be on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Gautier. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until Mass time.
