Rita M. Beaugez

Miss Rita M. Beaugez, age 74, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Friday, October 7, 2005, in Ocean Springs. Miss Beaugez was a lifelong resident of the community and a member of the Ocean Springs V.F.D. Ladies Auxiliary. She was the owner of Rita's sno-ball stand on Dewey Avenue in Ocean Springs for many years. She was also a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and a former member of the Altar Society. Miss Beaugez was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse and Leona Catchot Beaugez, three brothers, Welber, Wilfred and Joseph Beaugez. She is survived by three sisters, Anna "Sarah" Lechner of Biloxi, and Annette Jones and Lydia Seymour, both of Ocean Springs, and many nieces and nephews. On Monday, October 10, 2005, there will be an 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, where friends may call from 10 - 11 AM. Burial will follow in Bellande Cemetery. The family wishes to express their thanks to the Ocean Springs Nursing Center and the nurses and doctors in the SICU at Ocean Springs Hospital for their kindness and care. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
